DCarar. Cara Patterson Robison
Optometric Physician

Dr. Robison is the Optometrist here at North Georgia Eye Care. She is originally from Arkansas and she received her undergraduate degree from Mississippi State University in Starkville, Mississippi. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee where she served as an officer of her class and Student Volunteers in Optometric Service to Humanity (SVOSH). Her participation in SVOSH allowed her to complete mission trips to Mexico and the Dominican Republic in order to provide eye examinations, medications and glasses to patients unable to obtain them. She was also involved with her student government and charitable work with St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Toys for Tots. She has a special interest in caring for those with ocular disease and ensuring that all children are able to achieve their full potential through comprehensive vision examinations. She values a strong doctor-patient relationship together with educating her patients thoroughly on any condition they may have. She will spend the extra time needed to take care of any of your eye care issues. Dr. Robison is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA), Georgia Optometric Association, Cornea and Contact Lens Section of the AOA and Mississippi State Alumni Association. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening and exploring the outdoors with her husband Brian.

Marcie Fambrough

Licensed Dispensing Optician and Office Manager

Marcie is the founder and LDO of North Georgia Eye Care.  Marcie began her career in Optometry when she was in high school.  She has a B.S. and a M.Ed. in Health Promotion and Behavior from the University of Georgia, so naturally she is a huge “Dawg Fan”.  She has worked as a Licensed Dispensing Optician in the Athens area for over 20 years and is proficient in all aspects of operating an optometric practice.  She is an active member of the (OAA) Opticians Association of America and the (AOA) American Optometric Association. She takes pride in providing high standards of quality patient care.

Nicki Reynolds

Paraoptometric Technician

Nicki is one of our Paraoptometric Technicians here at North Georgia Eye Care. She has worked in the optical business around the Athens/Barrow County area for over ten yeas. Nicki is proficient in assisting Dr. Robison with the training needed for new contact lens wearers. She is also very knowledgeable about insurance benefits and helps patients use their benefits in the most efficient way. Nicki performs various types of advanced testing, such as retinal photos and wellness scans. She also provides follow up services such as eyewear adjustment, repair and replacement. She excels in providing the highest level of vision care to all patients. At home, she enjoys cheering on the Georgia Bulldogs and care for her new twin babies, Jordan and Landon.

Anna Melton

Paraoptometric Technician

Anna is the Paraoptometric Technician here at North Georgia Eye Care. She prepares patients for their eye examinations by gathering pertinent medical history information and administering tests prior to their exams.  Anna also performs OCT screening,  retinal photography and visual field testing as ordered by Dr. Robison to detect many eye disorders that may cause vision loss. She is also proficient in assuring that the patient understands the proper care and use of contact lenses and glasses that the doctor has prescribed.  Anna has had years of experience in the medical field from the optometry office to the operating room.

Karne GonshorowskiKaren Gonshorowski
Optician and Frame Stylist

Karen is our optical specialist here at North Georgia Eye Care. She is in charge of managing our optical boutique. She consults with frame representatives and hand picks a variety of frames in the latest styles to cater to any taste. Karen specializes in providing one on one attention to assist patients in selecting a frame and customizing lenses so that their eyeglasses are perfectly suited for them. Along with being knowledgeable about eyewear, she is also skilled at training new contact lens wearers. Karen has worked in several optical practices in the Atlanta area over the past twenty years. With Karen, patients can be sure that they are receiving the personalized attention they deserve.

Morgan LyleMorgan Lyle
Paraoptometric Assistant

Morgan Lyle is an Optometric Assistant here at North Georgia Eye Care. She administers the entrance testing such as visual acuity, color vision, and depth perception testing that occurs before seeing Dr. Robison. She notifies patients to remind them of upcoming appointments and to inform them that their glasses or contact lenses are ready.
